BREAKOUT SESSION

The world is on fire! Crises are lining up, and public discourse is becoming increasingly polarized. In the midst of it all, art and culture stand as a mirror of society. But more and more often, artists and cultural institutions are coming under pressure when difficult messages need to be conveyed — and several artists and institutions have experienced threats of having their funding withdrawn or being asked to edit their works before they can be exhibited. In every way, we are living in a critical time. That’s why we’re inviting you to a conversation about how we, as artists, institutions, and creative cultural actors, can navigate a time where crises are becoming ever more dominant — and how we can take care of each other, protect freedom of expression, and make space for disagreement. There will be a short intro in Danish by Jeppe Sand from Teater Momentum and afterwards a talk by: Host: - Jennifer Tonndorff, DEI-konsulent, filmskaber og debattør. Participants: - Jude Bennett, Head of Arts & Activism, Roskilde Festival. - Maria Robstad, Fynsk filmproducer, EMJAY Productions. Introduction By Jeppe Sand, Direktør, Teater Momentum & instruktør.
