We are thrilled to welcome Emiko Gejic to this year's Culture Kicks Back. Emiko is a Berlin-based artist and policy maker. As an executive board member of Club Commission Berlin, she has been a driving force in supporting Berlin's nightlife and subcultures. In her keynote, Emiko will share insights from her work with Club Commission and VibeLab, a research institute that leverage data and cultural research to strengthen the policy work of the independent art scene. You don't want to miss this! Bio: Emiko Gejic is a Berlin-born artist, creative, activist, and founder of Berlinsidestories, dedicated to promoting Berlin's cultural scene. As an executive board member of Berlin Clubcommission, she supports the city's nightlife, subcultures, and club culture through political advocacy, organizing protests, communication and legal support. Emiko is also a producer and consultant for nightlife and creative industries, working in creative relations and hosting events and guided tours that illuminate Berlin's artistic life, urban communities, tech industry, activism, and education about urban development. Her roles extend to public speaking, moderation, and acting, showcasing her commitment to promoting Berlin's creative and cultural industries. She currently supports the development of a new Museum and Creative Quartier for The Berlin Stadtmuseum Foundation.
