Talk by Louna Sbou and group conversation Louna Sbou is the director of Oyoun, an award-winning, bipoc-run, cosmopolitan, intersectional arts & culture venue, and a home for queer*feminist, migrant and decolonial perspectives in Berlin. Since last year Oyoun had most part of their funding taken away for “being too politically charged” . This session will have an opening talk by Louna, telling the story fo Oyoun followed by a conversation amongst the participants about the role of politics in the arts and in cultural spaces. Is it even possible for cultural spaces to be apolitical - and should we be? Participants: - Louna Sbou is a curator, mentor and cultural manager. She is director of Oyoun in Berlin, an anti-disciplinary arts center with a special focus on queer*feminist, decolonial and class-critical perspectives - Sofie Bach Hansen is a part of Institute for (X) and will be the host of this session
